About Cattle Tree Cottage

Cattle Tree Cottage is a stunning barn conversion just 3 minutes from Cardigan in beautiful Ceredigion, Wales. This two-bedroom retreat sits in peaceful countryside with private enclosed gardens and a wood-fired hot tub for evening relaxation. The owners have created something special here - not your typical holiday let but a genuine home-away-from-home that consistently scores perfect reviews.

Set in the quiet village of Llangoedmor, you're perfectly positioned to explore Mid Wales' spectacular coastline. Walk your dogs through the owner's fields to the pond, feed the friendly goats, or drive just 5.5 miles to reach stunning beaches. Poppit Sands and the National Trust's Mwnt beach offer perfect days out, while Cardigan Castle and Cardigan Island Farm Park provide entertainment whatever the weather decides to do.

The accommodation features a king-size bedroom and a versatile triple room with three singles (which can be configured as a king plus single on request). The triple even has its own ensuite! Downstairs, the kitchen/diner comes fully equipped with everything from dishwasher to washing machine, while the sitting room offers a Smart TV and electric fire for cosy evenings when you're not soaking in that hot tub with a favourite drink.

What a treat! We stayed in Cattle Tree Cottage, a beautiful barn in a remote area with access to fields for early morning dog strolls. only 10 minutes away from Cardigan and then onto the coast for days exploring. The barn had been done to such a high standard and Bruce & Sarah have thought of everything youd need for your stay, including the log fired hot tub. We had such a lovely time and are already thinking about when we can come back!

We have just stayed at Cattle Cottage and it was an absolute joy. The building is beautiful, much bigger than in the pictures and it was lovingly decorated with a beautiful kitchen and 2 lovely bathrooms. The large lounge was perfect for our crawling baby to safely explore and it was nicely set up with a stair gate, comfy high chair and cot on request. The garden is lovely, overlooking a beautiful meadow, and the hot tub was great nice and big with lights and bubbles! with plentiful logs 10 a bag, it was a real oasis and a real treat to sit out every morning and evening for our meals in such an idyllic environment. Everything was really well thought out, from treats for the dog, fresh eggs and milk on arrival and all the little things you need to get you started when your holiday. We couldn't have asked for more really, we loved going to feed the goats and visiting the chickens and the pond, and the surrounding area is absolutely stunning with Cardigan only 10 minutes away which was handy for supermarkets and takeaways! I honestly think it's one of the best cottages we have stayed in. The hosts were amazing as well, extremely friendly and very quick to respond to our every need. We want to come back next year!
Excellent cottage very neat, clean and comfortable. Nicely finished like a home rather than cost cutting rental. Good value. Hot tub was a nice feature. Very dog friendly. We appreciated the quiet remote location with a town nearby. Owners are close by and very welcoming and helpful. We have stayed in many holidays cottages over many years and this definitely in our top few.

We just wanted to pop you a quick message to say Thank you again for having us stay. We stayed in Cattle Tree Cottage and it was phenomenal, so peaceful and relaxing, the extra touches of dog treats, poop bags, Prosecco and fresh milk, fresh ground coffee were prefect on arrival. The contact from Sarah from point of booking to arrival was second to non. The cottage to perfect and spotless a real home from home. We were sad to leave. For us personally it was a difficult holiday as we sadly lost one of our dogs prior to arriving so we wasnt really looking forward to the break following this but is was just perfect for what we needed and Sarah and Bruce were very kind and understanding. Not to forget the Norwegian hot tub, simply stunning you can have this and hot or cold as you like, delicious! We also went on a boat trip with A Bay to Remember to see dolphins Bruce helps with this and is very good highly recommend doing this. The area the cottage is situated in is close to lots of beautiful villages and costal towns with stunning beaches pretty much everywhere is dog friendly too which is a bonus. We will most definitely return and cannot recommend these cottages enough. We will shout from the rooftops about our trip.

Felt like home from home. Was amazed how many little touches were added, even including a dog lead and torch, treats and a blanket. Apart from that all the necessities for us were provided. Would highly recommend, very cosy, well equipped & so peaceful. Didn't want to leave!

What an absolutely wonderful cottage. Owners very nice, welcoming and very helpful with local knowledge. The cottage was stunning inside and had every amenity you needed . Very clean and the location is just wonderful. So brilliant with us having dogs even included some lovely dog treats. The location was beautiful and the goats where great . Located nice a central you can enjoy coastal towns and beaches or lovely hillside walks. We will 100 be coming back and we are so excited for our next adventure here.

Absolutely beautiful barn conversion a short 3 min drive from cardigan & the owners have spared no expense on the quality of the finish of the barn. Super dog friendly baby gate provided for the stairs plus bowls blankets treats poop bags Owner lives on site & we were allowed to walk the fields to the pond & feed the goats. WiFi is well rural but its time to switch off! Hot tub is excellent & only takes 23 hrs to heat up buy more logs Our only feedback is the enclosed garden would really benefit from a picket fence to stop our daft dogs from trying to jump off the wall! We hope to come back x

A fabulous find! A charming, comfortable, excellently furnished and equipped property ideally situated near the stunning Mid Wales coast. The hosts kept in contact with us from the initial booking, right up until our arrival. The cottage is dog friendly with bowls, treats and bedding provided. The hot tub was a definite bonus! Our only niggle would be that the property is accessed via a long, heavily potholed farm track. Over our weeks stay when there was a fair amount of rain, the track surface deteriorated further and made the car journey quite difficult. We would recommend that the hosts consider making repairs to the track over the winter.
We had the most amazing weekend at Cattle Tree Cottage. The property is fantastic, very clean, comfortable and welcoming and the surroundings are beautiful. I would highly recommend this property.

Sarah was a very welcoming host and couldnt have been more helpful. A safely enclosed garden for our two dogs with side gate for when they are mucky and lots of fields and footpaths to walk them. Very comfortable indeed and very well equipped cottage. Lots of peace and quiet but close to Cardigan for shops etc and Teifi Marshes ParkRun. Good local beaches, castles a perfect place to stay.

Would rather not share this gen with other people! We had a lovely stay, the host Sarah and her husband Bruce were both very welcoming. The cottage had every bit of comfort we needed as a family of 5 and a dog and the hot tub was just perfect after a day out and even for an early morning dip. The tips and information found at the cottage meant we had an easy time deciding what to do for our day's out. The surroundings and town of Cardigan and its beaches were fantastic.

With a selection of lovely sandy beaches nearby and some very cute and friendly goats on site it was the perfect location for us to spend some quality time with our daughter and 18 month old grandson. Very close to beautiful beaches Mwnt beach, Cardigan viewpoint only a few miles away from the cottage Strumble Head, Ramsey Island, Skomer Island boat rides, St Davids only 45min away, horse riding & many entertaining places for kids nearby too. Great place.
