About Ysgubor - The Barn

Ysgubor - The Barn is a stunning converted barn in Pembrokeshire, Wales that'll make you forget about your boring life back home. This spacious three-bedroom retreat sits in a spectacular hillside location with jaw-dropping views from the upstairs living area. The clever upside-down layout means you can gawp at the Welsh countryside while sipping your morning coffee on the balcony.

The surrounding area is a playground for outdoor lovers. Miles of walking trails start right from your doorstep, so you can leave the car behind. Beautiful dog-friendly beaches are just a short drive away - perfect for tiring out both the kids and the four-legged family members before heading back for an evening soak. Local attractions include castles, craft centres and even a medieval carved stone at the top of the drive (history nerds rejoice!).

The accommodation sleeps six guests across three bedrooms. There's a double with en-suite, plus two twin rooms that can be converted to super-kings for flexible sleeping arrangements. The ground floor bathroom features both bath and shower facilities. Upstairs, the open-plan living area includes a kitchen, dining space and sitting area with a cosy woodburning stove.

We had a great time in Wales and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at Ysgubor. This lovely cottage has everything you need, it was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the views are amazing. its also in a good location within easy reach of lots of places to visit. A great friendly little pub called Ffynnone Arms is just a 5 minute drive away and serves lovely homemade food. Sam and Dave are very welcoming and we loved the little treats left for us. The games room was an added bonus, which was great fun especially when it was pouring with rain. Highly recommend staying here and we would definitely like to visit again.
Lovely barn conversion, very comfortable and well appointed. Views are amazing across Pembrokeshire countryside and good walking routes on your door step. Highlight might be watching the bats from the hot tub at dusk followed by very dark skies to make gazing up at the stars very memorable. Lovely hosts as well.

Had such a relaxing, peaceful stay in the barn! The cottage had more than enough space for 2 people and 2 dogs! The location is amazing, it was so nice to have so many walking routes on the doorstep of the cottage meaning you didn't have to rely on driving places every day! We met Dave on day 1 and he gaves us some brilliant recommendations on places to go and things to do! Lots of walking during the day then relaxing in the hot tub in the late afternoon is just perfect! The view from the living room is also spectacular, so much so even the dogs appreciated sitting in the window watching the world go by. If you're in need of some R&R in the countryside this place is 1010!
Spacious, comfortable accommodation with delightful hilly views which makes it a great place to relax even when it rains! as it's off the beaten track. Ideally situated for walking or driving to so many other places which are well worth visiting. The hot tub and the games room were a bonus. We would happily return there in the future.

Our family absolutely loved this property. It had all the facilities we needed and was extremely clean and comfortable. The games room and hot tub were a real treat as well. The location was perfect for us. There are many lovely walks very close by and the local church and shell house open on a Thursday are well worth a visit. My Mum, in particular, was fascinated by the early medieval, cross carved stone near the top of the drive. The hosts were really lovely, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends and we all would love to come back.

Fabulous place to stay. The view's are wonderful. Peaceful and not far to travel to beautiful beaches. The owners are very nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a home from home stay, who wants a peaceful holiday. We would definitely return in the future.
The best cottage we've ever stayed in! The open plan living area upstairs is perfect to take in the view and with the balcony door open the dog is kept busy on look out. Bedrooms are very comfortable and being downstairs kept nicely cool on Wales' hottest ever day at 36C. The kitchen is well equipped, we only ate out once recommend the Pizza Tipi in Cardigan. The garden and hot tub have a great view and are enclosed, so no worries with a dog. The barn has a games room with ping pong, pool, fussball and darts. We had fun with our own indoor league competition. Fress eggs available and very tasty too! From the cottage there is a path down to the river with a small pool, perfect for the dog during our very hot stay. Nearby Cardigan is full of nice small shops, Poppins Sands, Blue Lagoon, Oakwood theme Park and the national Botanical Gardens. The owners are very helpful and with their recommendations helped make this stay our of the best holidays ever. Thanks.

We had a fabulous stay in the cottage, it was brilliant from start to finish as so peaceful and had everything we could ever have wanted. Our food parcel was a lovely touch to get us going too. The cottage was super comfortable and cosy and is finished to perfection. We felt straight at home and loved the upsidedown living. The hot tub was fabulous too, especially as it was so peaceful, we felt like we were the only ones on the planet.
