We stayed at Christmas time so taking into account how rural the cottage is was important for issue for us due to closures over the Xmas period. I received a call the day before check from Jen, she's an absolute delight. Both her and Phil are very helpful. We needed a hand lighting the fires (bear gryls we are not) and they couldn't have been more helpful. You are supplied with a very decent amount of logs and fire lighters to get you going but there is a shed with lots of stock which you can pay for, reasonably priced too! We have stayed in a few staycation properties in the UK the past few years and this property was probably the best in terms of facilities and equipment. I feel like they have thought of everything and will try and be as accommodating as they can plenty of soap, washing liquid, sponges, tea towels, utensils, cooking equipment. Towels etc. Dog friendly, our boy usually sleeps in our bed and understandably that isn't allowed in rentals but with the under floor heating he actually didn't care. It was really warm inside the property, I often slept with the window open (in December ????). We have said we would love to visit again in the summer time because the land is gorgeous with the lake and little row boat.
